Chief Climate Officer

Eric Reading has more than 25 years of experience designing and implementing complex programs globally. He has worked on highly interdisciplinary programs across energy, water, agriculture, and health. His expertise includes leveraging public and private sector resources and scaling up successful solutions. Reading has direct experience with both infrastructure and nature-based solutions, and a deep background in financing and governance. He has worked in more than 65 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Reading holds a master’s in international affairs from Florida State University.

Roslyn M. Brock
Chief Global Equity Officer

Roslyn M. Brock is a nationally recognized civil rights, health policy, and equity advocate. Brock is Chairman Emeritus of the National Board of Directors for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). She was the youngest person ever elected NAACP chairman and the fourth woman to hold the position. The NAACP Environmental Justice subcommittee launched under her purview. She has dedicated her career to improving equity and opportunity for all and is a widely honored change agent for social justice with deep experience in health. At Abt, Brock is responsible for designing an external and internal global Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Gender, Equity and Social Inclusion strategy that drives mission impact and business results.

She previously served as Chief Advocacy Officer for Bon Secours Mercy Health, one of the 20 largest health systems in the U.S., where she provided system-wide leadership to promote health care reform, health equity, and social justice initiatives for vulnerable populations to improve the health and well-being of communities. Brock has also managed and directed domestic and international health programs at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, United States Agency for International Development, and the New York State Health Department.

Sarah Dunn
Managing Director, Abt Britain

Sarah Dunn leads the team at Abt Global in Britain. She has more than two decades of experience working to address international development challenges created by the intersection of a changing climate and inequality. The team at Abt in Britain includes climate and environment specialists, as well as experts in global health and governance. Dunn previously worked as a senior executive with the Department for International Development (now the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) where, in her final role, she was DFID country director in South Africa, overseeing all development programmes. In addition to her strong public sector background, Dunn has a track record of delivering change in several sectors: in nutrition through a private sector foundation, in energy through a private company and in development through an NGO.

Paul Anninos
Vice President, Environment and Natural Resources

Paul Anninos, who has more than 30 years of business and operational leadership in the public and private sectors, leads Abt’s domestic U.S. environment business, including environmental program management, data and technology solutions, regulatory development and technical assistance, natural resource management, and climate and energy programs. As a marine scientist, he has direct experience serving local, state and federal government agencies, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Marine Fisheries Service, Virginia Marine Resources Commission, and Virginia Beach Wetlands Board. Anninos holds a master’s of science in Biological Oceanography from Old Dominion University.

Santiago Enriquez
Climate Change and Environmental Specialist

Santiago Enriquez has more than 20 years of experience in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of climate policies and programs. He has supported stakeholders in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to strengthen implementation of climate change programs. In Mexico, he led the development of a system that helped officials monitor the implementation of close to 300 mitigation, adaptation, and cross-cutting actions. He assists public and private stakeholders in mobilizing climate investments. In Central America, he helped commercial banks develop clean energy lending products and facilitated the development of guarantees for more than $54 million USD to de-risk loans for clean energy and other development goals. Enriquez holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University.

Olga Faktorovich Allen
Senior Director of Climate Integration and Sustainability

Olga Faktorovich Allen has more than 15 years of experience in environmental and sustainability management, strategic planning, and climate integration. Allen has supported U.S. EPA’s regulatory processes on toxic releases and water pollution; conceived, built, and scaled Abt’s award-winning corporate sustainability and climate action program; designed and implemented Abt’s enterprise impact management approach, anchored in data analytics and aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals; and led company-wide strategic planning and climate business development efforts. Allen now focuses on mainstreaming decarbonization and climate risk management strategies across Abt’s health, housing, and food security portfolios. She holds a master’s degree in environmental sustainability management and development studies from Harvard University.

Amanda Quintana
Climate and Health Technical Lead

Amanda Quintana is a global environmental health professional with nearly a decade of experience in global development and health, program management, and implementation. Currently, Quintana is pursuing her Ph.D. in climate resilient health systems at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), where she is focused on the implementation of climate adaptation policy for health in South Africa. She has experience supporting major donor agencies, government partners, civil society, and country decision-makers around the world on global health activities, and climate and health research priorities. Quintana works at the intersection of climate and health, supporting the integration of climate change into health programs, climate and health strategy development, and broader stakeholder engagement in the intersecting area. She previously worked for the USAID Global Health Bureau, supporting the delivery of maternal and child health and immunization interventions.

Walid Sallam
Chief of Party, Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening (ERAS) Project, Egypt

Dr. Walid Sallam is an agricultural marketing expert who has advised and supported agribusinesses and farmers in Egypt for over two decades. He helps them expand their businesses and implement practical solutions to increase productivity, quality, and sales. Sallam has provided expert analysis and evaluations for businesses, international and local organizations, and the government of Egypt on topics ranging from agricultural marketing and finance to operations. For the past eight years, he has led five capacity building and technical assistance agribusiness programs in Egypt that have introduced novel, low-cost solutions to increase smallholder farmers productivity, improve the livelihood of rural communities, equip recent graduates with job-related skills, empower women, and mitigate the effects of climate change. As Associate Professor in the Department of Agribusiness at Cairo University, he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing, international trade, agricultural finance, price analysis, and operations research. Sallam is chief of party of the Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening Project, a five-year, $36 million program aimed at strengthening the horticulture sector.
