Jessen Carroll is a human resources (HR) professional with more than 20 years of experience overseeing all aspects of HR, organizational communications, governance, and administration functions. She has experience leading organizational integrations and change management efforts. She also has operations management, business analysis, business process improvement, and project management experience. She can balance tactical day-to-day operational needs with a strategic grasp of long-term business objectives.
Chessen’s responsibilities include translating business needs into human resources operations initiatives and goals. She oversees the design, development, and integration of programs, policies, systems, and procedures to effect organizational change. Her duties include identifying opportunities for process improvement and standardization to enable technology to enhance operational efficiencies. She develops and oversees implementation of policies related to human resources compliance programs and functions, including employment, employee relations, affirmative action, and equal employment opportunities. She also will support initiatives to encourage culture, diversity, and inclusion and to promote a bias-free workforce environment.
Before coming to Abt, Carroll served as director of HR technology and operations for SAIC (formerly Engility Corp.), where she supported a business systems integration project focused on integrating SAIC and legacy Engility business systems. She also served as the leader and project manager of Engility’s Human Capital Management Systems Implementation project.
Before Engility, Carroll served as director for human capital programs for GTSI. She worked closely with the Vice President of Human Resources and then directly with the CEO to provide leadership and guidance for all aspects of GTSI’s HR function.
