Capacity Building & Learning
Abt’s capacity building, learning, and development strategies generate, deliver, and continuously evaluate an array of targeted learning and training experiences We carefully collect and curate data and research to provide evidence-informed practices as we transfer knowledge and skills to individuals and organizations. Our professional and organizational development approaches give learners the ability to execute their mandates and provide equitable, efficient, and effective programs and services.
Policy & Regulatory Support
Abt delivers regulatory guidance and policy support to federal, state, and local agencies developing or implementing new standards and regulations in public health and safety, environmental quality and education. We conduct regulatory and policy analysis to promote equity and enhance programs, services, and technology. Our databases, models, and tools withstand scientific and public scrutiny, and we provide rulemaking support to meet tight timelines. Our economic impact analysis studies and other data-driven evaluations aid in policy planning and development.
Program Design
For stronger programs that generate cutting-edge, comprehensive solutions, Abt collaborates with government agencies and ministries, their beneficiaries, Tribes, and other organizations on program design and implementation. We provide the full range of technical assistance to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency and to enhance program performance. We employ an equity lens in strategy development and planning, natural resource damage assessments, services mapping, and technical analyses. In addition, we assist organizations across the data lifecycle, from designing an equity-informed data-use strategy to measuring and reporting performance to evaluate projects and identify areas for improvement. We also support mobilization of financial resources and program management.
Across the U.S., we lead a technical assistance team of university and nonprofit partners guiding communities to meet housing needs within transportation and other infrastructure investments. We’re reducing tuberculosis in Uzbekistan. We’re a selected vendor for the Providing Access and Transforming Health TA Marketplace to enhance critical healthcare coverage for underserved populations in California.
