To determine whether Medicare’s Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) initiative affected patient-reported measures of quality, Abt and partners assessed a total of nearly 60,000 patients treated by BPCI and comparison hospitals. We evaluated differences in patient-reported measures of care experience as well as changes in functional status.
