Rockville, Md. – Abt Global has been awarded a five-year, $25 million contract to develop, maintain, implement and re-evaluate quality measures in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ home health and hospice quality reporting programs. The contract represents both new work and, in part, a continuation of Abt’s work on the Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) contract.
In addition to creating and managing the data collection instruments used in home health and hospice settings, Abt will:
- Support federal rulemaking in each of these settings,
- Field a reliability/validity study for hospice assessment data, and
- Continue to refine and support the star rating system Abt developed for home health.
“Abt will help support patients and families seeking quality care by expanding our home health work and by developing similar reporting measures for hospice,” said Abt Project Director Sara Galantowicz.
