Austin Gooden is a software architect at TSPi, a Division of Abt Global, with 6 years of experience delivering innovative software solutions in the public sector. With expertise spanning the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Gooden has worked across a broad range of technologies, from Low-Code/No-Code platforms to legacy frameworks and multiple programming languages. He has successfully delivered a variety of solutions for the U.S. Federal Government that enable systems to adapt seamlessly to congressional mandates, agency policies, and program definition, all while achieving the mission objectives of the IT initiative.
At TSPi, Gooden leads multiple teams working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), with a focus on Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) initiatives. In this role, he is involved in the planning and implementation of USDA NRCS IT objectives from the systems architecture perspective. He operates on numerous mission critical systems with a wide range of technologies, including those responsible for managing billions of dollars in allocations and payments each year to tens of thousands of farmers, ranchers, and landowners. Gooden also supports systems that track essential data across all 50 states and U.S. territories to fulfill the agency’s diverse operational needs.
Prior to and alongside his work at USDA, Gooden has assisted IT initiatives at the U.S. Department of Labor, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Small Business Administration.
