Quality Assurance Team Lead

Bio

Mohamed Siddig brings Abt more than a decade of experience in software quality assurance (QA) and software testing in various industries, including telecommunication, healthcare, and government solutions. He has expertise writing test plans, test cases, setting up test environments, and preparing test scenarios. He also has extensive experience with test data creation, development of requirement traceability matrices, defect tracking, and test result analysis. Siddig has in depth knowledge of the software development life cycle and software testing life cycle. He is proficient in Waterfall, V-model, and Agile Scrum development methodologies, with a focus on Agile-Scrum optimization and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Clients have included the Public Buildings Service Office of Acquisition Management at the General Services Administration (GSA), and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

As a QA team lead, Siddig’s primary responsibility is to champion quality across the software development lifecycle. This involves developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies that encompass manual and automated testing methodologies. He collaborates with project managers and development teams to define testing scopes, establish timelines, and allocate resources effectively. His oversight of the design and execution of test cases ensures that they validate functionality and performance while identifying risks early in the development process. Siddig fosters a culture of continuous improvement through training and promoting adoption of automated testing tools to enhance efficiency. He also monitors quality metrics and communicates testing progress and results to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.

Siddig served as QA lead on Electronic Acquisition System Integration (EASi), a GSA application that streamlines and automates the acquisition lifecycle process. As the QA lead on several USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) contracts, he reviewed and analyzed requirements, specifications, and technical design documents and created detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.

Prior to his start at TSPi, a Division of Abt Global, Siddig held roles as a senior software test engineer at Salient CRGT, a QA test engineer at Novartis Consumer Health, Inc., and a software test engineer at Qwest Communications.
