A national nonprofit organization has developed a promising approach for helping participants in federal rental assistance programs to increase their earnings, build assets and pay down debt. An independent evaluation report from Abt Global followed rental assistance recipients over an average of 40 months as they participated in Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) programs offered by the nonprofit Compass Working Capital, in partnership with local housing authorities in Lynn and Cambridge, Massachusetts.

His work has focused on the interactions between climate change mitigation, air pollution reductions, and improvements in public health. He has managed multiple projects for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Agency for International Development, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to evaluate opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) and air pollutant emissions.
